We’ve teamed up with the Lincoln Get-Out-The-Vote Coalition to talk about the hottest voting-related topics. From now until November, we’ll be hosting townhalls and fielding questions about voting. This coalition includes us (OutNebraska) and our friends at the Asian Community Cultural Center, Nebraska Civic Engagement Table, Civic Nebraska, and UNL’s Husker Vote Coalition, as well as local voting advocates.

This page will hold the recordings of our townhalls. Watch and share!

March 23. Early and Absentee Voting. Speaker: Lancaster County Election Commissioner Dave Shively

Our community organizer, Aryn, sits down with the Lancaster County Election Commissioner, Dave Shively, to talk about early and absentee voting. Nebraska has been a “no excuse” state for early and absentee voting, allowing voters the flexibility to vote from home for any reason. But what does it mean to vote early or absentee? How can you vote from home? What happens to your ballot? A handful of things have changed for 2022 from last year’s elections, so watch to learn more!
