Bill Summary:
This bill would require the Nebraska State Patrol to work with applicable state and federal agencies to facilitate the reporting on missing Black women and children in Nebraska. This would help to identify barriers in providing state resources to address the issue.
Black queer and transgender women and youth are disproportionately impacted by violence and systemic neglect, putting them at a much higher risk of going missing or being harmed compared to their peers.
