CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Lancaster County is a nonprofit organization that trains community members to be court advocates for youth in the Foster Care System. Any child removed from their home and placed into Foster Care can be appointed a CASA. If you are interested in becoming a CASA or you or someone you know are in the Foster Care system and feel like your/their voice is not being heard, please reach out. CASAs are required to meet with their youth and listen to their concerns and then report those concerns directly to the Judge. This can be vital in the life of an LGBTQ+ youth who feels isolated and alone. Feel free to call with questions.
