Our goal is to eliminate and prevent all forms of illegal discrimination, to assure and foster equal opportunity for all citizens of the city, and to act in all matters within its jurisdiction. We have jurisdiction to investigate allegations of discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodation within Lincoln’s city limits.
The protected classes are:
- Sex (gender/stereotyping)
- Age (only employment)
- Race
- Color
- Religion
- National Origin or Ancestry
- Disability
- Retaliation
- Marital Status
- Familial Status (only housing)
