Hart Family Health is a primary care practice owned by two Nurse Practitioners with over 35 years of experience between them. The focus of our practice is a quality, inclusive experience for all people. Amy is an ally with over five years of specific gender care training and experience. She provides well care, sick care, hormonal therapy, documentation changes, and specialty referrals. Dawn Darling is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Dawn joined Kearney Counseling Associates in June of 2014. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska Kearney (UNK) in May 2010 and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha Grace Abbott School of Social Work (UNO-GASSW) in May 2014. Dawn is currently a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). Dawn is an active member of PFLAG Kearney and facilitates Chameleons, a transgender support group. Dawn enjoys assisting clients in gaining relief from the negative symptoms associated with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and minority stressors. Dawn is committed to facilitating hope and personal growth in her clients by utilizing person-centered, strength-based, cognitive behavioral approaches with an understanding of the influence of family and community systems on the individual. Dawn provides affirmative and accepting services to all individuals in order to help them experience relief, inner-acceptance, and peace. Dawn works closely with the LGBTQIA+ community and specializes in transgender and non-binary identities. Dawn is motivated to bring compassion and hope to every one of her clients!

About Kindred Psychology
Kindred Psychology is an inclusive and affirming Counseling Psychology practice. We provide comprehensive mental health services for adolescents and adults, specializing in LGBTQ populations, transgender health and resilience, life transitions, substance abuse, anxiety, mood disorders, traumatic experiences, sexual health, and reproductive/mental health difficulties. We offer individual, relationship, group, and family therapy modalities. Using an informed consent approach, Dr. Camie Nitzel also provides WPATH-consistent hormone and surgical evaluations for transgender and gender diverse individuals.

Dr. Johnson has practiced at Primary Care Partners since August of 2016. She was raised in Omaha and earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1982.After completing her residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University she joined the faculty at Texas Tech, where she coordinated family practice education for residents and students. Dr. Johnson is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She moved to Lincoln in 1988 and began practicing family medicine. Since moving to Lincoln, Dr. Johnson and her family have been active in church and community activities. Dr. Johnson is LGBTQA+ friendly and is knowledgable about MTF/FTM transitions and other specific situations involving LGBTQA+ health. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, music and gourmet cooking.
