A Transgender Life: An Afternoon of Song and Story

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church invites community members to join for a concert by Dr. Stephanie Dykes at 4:00pm on Sunday, May 7. She will provide an autobiographical performance in which she tells her story in words and vocal solos.
Dr. Dykes believes that her special calling as a transgender Lutheran is to make the world a better place for transgender and gender-diverse people. She has spoken at conferences on women’s and gender studies and institutional research across the United States and Canada and has spoken at colleges and universities across the United States on her experiences as a transgender woman.
Dr. Dykes holds a Ph.D. in educational research and measurement from the University of South Carolina, and she completed her undergraduate work at Clemson University.
This event is open to the public. Free-will donations accepted.
