Position Description
The Operations Manager is a critical role responsible for supporting the Executive Director in the efficient and effective operation of the organization. This role will oversee various administrative and operational functions, ensuring that the organization runs smoothly and meets its goals. This application is open through December 2. Primary Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Manage and maintain organizational calendars, including scheduling meetings, events, and activities.
- Support event planning.
- Assist with financial management tasks, such as uploading invoices, tracking expense receipts, bank deposits, and accounts payable.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Provide data entry support as needed.
Operational Efficiency:
- Identify and implement tools and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Review and optimize software subscriptions and usage.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and track grant reporting and lobbying reports.
- Maintain organizational records and documentation.
- Maintain employee records.
General Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and other team members as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

A self-starter attitude with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.

This position requires the ability to work evening and weekend hours and travel in the state. Travel will be dependent on current status of COVID-19 pandemic.

A minimum of 1-2 days per week in the Lincoln office required.
Experience
-
Proven experience in nonprofit administration or a related field.

Knowledge of financial management principles.

Proficiency in Google Drive including management of organizational account.

Experience in Quickbooks and Bill.com preferred.

Experience with project management tools preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary is anticipated to be $50,000 – $52,000. OutNebraska offers a healthcare stipend, a data reimbursement, Simple IRA retirement and match, as well as generous PTO and holiday time-off benefits.
