LINCOLN, NE – In response to today’s vote on LB 575, OutNebraska Community Organizer Aryn Huck issued the following statement:
After today’s vote, we are relieved that senators were able to take a step back and see the many problematic legal, financial and ethical implications of LB 575.
It’s clear that our senators are frustrated with how much time has been spent debating whether kids should be allowed to play sports with their friends.
At this time, we’re hopeful that our legislators can utilize the last few days of session to pass positive policy on the real issues Nebraskans care about.
